My skinsuit is the marker of my personhood. The world meets my touch and leaves an imprint. Reality develops through a mother’s skin – two bodies with a shared envelope, dimpled and cavitied. Touching is confirmation. The skin itself is formless, faceless. Layers upon layers that create a veil, a membrane to stretch with the growth of the body. The skin takes the body with it.
